Want to get your kid started on the ice? Join the Shanghai Thunderbirds out at the Songjiang University Sports Complex's rink to play with a competitive traveling team that practices multiple times a week. Players range in age from 11-15 years old and the team holds tryouts every season.
Gymboree classes are an ideal way to burn off some extra energy. Held at a number of venues around Shanghai, this educational centre offers classes in music, art, fitness and baby signing for children from 0 – 5 years. Classes last 45 minutes and can be taken in blocks of 12, 18 or 24 weeks.
Great play spaces are hard to come by in Pudong. If in need, drop by Lollipop on the third floor of the Laya Plaza, across the street from Thumb Plaza. The play space is equipped with trampolines and other fun, original games and tops. Our personal favorite is the enormous ball pit. Whip down the slide at lightning speed and plunge right in.
